The finale of ‘The Welsh Group 8 Shows’ provides an abbreviated iteration of the eight themed shows across Wales during 2024 - 2025, featuring 37 artists.

‘Seen and Unseen’ was the fifth in the series, curated by Maggie James.
Featuring painters Gerda Roper, Philip Nicol, Heather Eastes, Mary Husted, Maggie James, Glenys Cour. 

The Welsh Group is a collective formed and run by artists, where there is no dominant style or particular agenda; rather the group provides a snapshot of work out of artists studios across South and West Wales and establishes a connection with current concerns and practices.

Stage II

19th September - 11th October 2025. BayArt

Stage II is the second instalment of the touring group exhibition, Stage, initially exhibited at kingsgate project space. Curated by Liam O’Connor and James Moore with Abi Birkinshaw. Stage is formed of two main elements: Stages, and Actors. Stages are formed with large backdrops made from drawings, paintings, textiles, fabric hangings, and found materials. Actors are smaller works that exist directly on top of these stages.
